Hey, I’m Michael, the human behind the camera at Love is in the Air. If you’ve made it to this page, thanks for indulging my shameless self-promotion—I promise it’s worth it. I’ve been capturing weddings since 2021, which feels like a lifetime when you’ve seen everything from tearful vows to dogs in bow ties. (Yes, I’ve cried at both.)

 

Before this, I was a primary school teacher. It’s not the usual path to wedding photography and videography, but it taught me two things: how to stay calm in absolute chaos and how to gently coax people into doing what I need without them even realising it. Both skills? Essential on a wedding day.

 

My approach? Keep it relaxed, keep it real. Weddings are already stressful enough without me barking orders like a drill sergeant. Whether it’s the emotional first look, the champagne-fueled chaos of the dance floor, or Uncle Bob’s questionable speech, I’m there to capture the good stuff—the moments you’ll laugh, cry, or cringe at in the best possible way.

 

When I’m not filming, you can usually find me attempting to cook (read: making an unholy mess), seeking out Perth’s strongest coffee, or convincing myself that running is fun. Spoiler: it’s not.
